Clear aligners are a series of custom-made, transparent trays that gradually move teeth into alignment. They are removable, virtually invisible, and an excellent alternative to braces for many patients.

How They Work

A digital scan creates a 3D model of your teeth. Software designs a treatment plan showing exactly how teeth will move at each stage. You wear each set of aligners for one to two weeks before moving to the next, working through 20 to 40 sets over your full treatment.

Who Is a Good Candidate?

Adults and teens with mild to moderate crowding, gaps, mild crossbites, or relapse after past orthodontic work. Severe bite problems or significant rotations may still need traditional braces or a combination approach.

Treatment Time

Most cases finish in 6 to 18 months. Simple cases (closing a small gap, mild alignment) can be done in 4 to 6 months. Complex cases may take longer.

Daily Use

Wear aligners 20 to 22 hours per day. Remove only for eating, drinking anything but water, brushing, and flossing. Clean aligners daily with a soft brush and lukewarm water (never hot, which can warp them).
