Essential Information About Dentures

Dentures are removable replacement teeth designed to restore chewing, speech, and the natural appearance of a full smile. Modern dentures are lighter, more comfortable, and more lifelike than ever.

Types of Dentures

Complete (full) dentures replace all teeth in the upper or lower jaw. Partial dentures fill in gaps when some natural teeth remain. Immediate dentures are placed the same day teeth are extracted to avoid going without teeth. Implant-supported overdentures snap onto two or more implants for dramatically better stability.

The Fitting Process

Four to five appointments over several weeks. Impressions and bite records are taken, a wax try-in lets you preview the look, and final dentures are crafted and adjusted for a comfortable fit.

Adjusting to New Dentures

Speech and chewing feel different at first. Practice reading aloud, start with soft foods, and use a denture adhesive if needed for confidence. Most people fully adapt within a few weeks.

Care & Maintenance

Clean dentures daily with a soft brush and denture cleanser. Remove them at night to let your gum tissue rest. Soak in water or denture solution to prevent warping. Visit your dentist annually for relines as the jaw shape gradually changes.

Will They Look Natural?

Yes. Modern dentures are sculpted to your face shape and jaw line, with shade-matched teeth. Most people find that a well-made denture is indistinguishable from natural teeth.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions from our patients in Dubai

How much do dentures cost at Anytime Dental?
The price depends on whether you need a full or partial denture and on the material, such as acrylic or flexible dentures. Your dentist checks your mouth during a free consultation and confirms the final price before you start.
How long does it take to get dentures?
Usually a few weeks. Your dentist takes impressions, checks a try-in version, and then fits the final denture, with follow-up adjustments if needed.
Will dentures feel strange at first?
Most people need a few weeks to get used to speaking and eating with new dentures. Sore spots are common at first and can usually be eased with small adjustments.
How do I clean my dentures?
Take them out and brush them every day with a soft brush, soak them overnight if your dentist recommends it, and rinse them after meals. Also clean your gums and any remaining teeth.
Are there alternatives to dentures?
Depending on your case, dental implants or bridges may be options. Your dentist will explain the options, risks and costs for your situation.
