After Care

Healing Timeline

The socket forms a stable clot within hours. Soft tissue heals over two to three weeks, and bone fills in over several months. Most patients return to normal activities the next day.

Replacing the Tooth

Unless the extracted tooth is a wisdom tooth, replacement is usually recommended. Options include a dental implant, a fixed bridge, or a removable partial denture. Replacing prevents adjacent teeth from drifting and preserves the jawbone over time.
